What is Squarebox?

Squarebox provides WhatsApp Business messaging infrastructure. We set up your business on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform and run everything needed to use it well: an AI agent that answers customers, a shared team inbox, marketing and utility templates, booking and payment flows, integrations with your systems, and the delivery infrastructure underneath. We started with cruise agencies and travel companies, and work with other consumer businesses too.

Who do you work with?

Our focus is cruise agencies, travel agencies and tour operators, hotels and DMCs, starting in Dubai and the UAE, then across Europe, the UK and the US. We also work with real estate, healthcare, retail and education businesses that run a lot of customer conversations on WhatsApp.

How is this different from the WhatsApp Business app?

The free app is built for one phone and a few people. The WhatsApp Business Platform, which we run for you, supports a whole team on one number, AI replies at any hour, approved templates for campaigns and updates, integrations with your CRM and booking tools, and proper reporting. Your number also gets the protection of being on Meta's official platform.

How long does setup take?

Usually one to three weeks from the signed proposal. The simplest setups can go live faster. The main variables are Meta's business verification, template approvals, and how many systems we need to connect to.

Will the AI give customers wrong information?

Accepted Answer

It answers from the fares, policies and documents you give it, and it is set up not to invent prices, availability or rules. When it is unsure, or the question involves visas, health, accessibility or a complaint, it hands the conversation to a person with a summary.

Can we keep our existing number?

Accepted Answer

Usually, yes. A number currently on the WhatsApp Business app can be moved to the Business Platform, though it cannot stay on both. Landlines can be used too, as long as they can receive a verification code. We plan the switch so you don't lose conversations.

Can we message customers first?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with approved templates, to people who have agreed to hear from you. That covers campaigns, booking updates, reminders and codes. Free-form replies are possible within 24 hours of the customer's last message. We help you collect opt-ins properly so your list grows without risk to your number.

Which languages are supported?

The agent replies in the language the customer writes in, including English, Arabic, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Hindi and many others. Templates are approved separately for each language you want to send in.

How does pricing work?

Two parts: a per-message rate, based on message type and recipient country, and an infrastructure fee for the platform, AI, integrations and support. Because both depend on your markets, volume and use cases, we agree pricing in a meeting rather than publishing a rate card.

Is our customers' data safe?

Messages travel over Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform. On our side, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based and logged, and we act as your processor under a data processing agreement. We work within GDPR, UK GDPR and the UAE data protection law.

Why don't you publish prices?

Because a published number would be wrong for almost everyone. WhatsApp charges different rates per country and per message type, and the AI and integration work varies a lot between a two-person agency and a host agency with 200 advisors. We'd rather give you an accurate number after a 30-minute meeting than a misleading one on a web page.

How does per-message pricing work?

Each template message you send (marketing, utility or authentication) has a rate based on its category and the recipient's country. Replies you send while a customer service window is open are not charged by Meta, and neither are utility messages sent inside that window. You see exactly what was sent and what it cost.

What does the infrastructure fee cover?

The platform and everything around it: your WhatsApp numbers, the AI agent, the shared inbox, campaign and template tools, integrations, hosting, delivery monitoring and support. It is a recurring fee agreed in your proposal.

Are Meta's fees included in the per-message rate?

We agree that with you in the proposal. Most customers prefer one per-message rate that covers Meta's charge and our delivery, so there is one bill. Larger senders sometimes prefer Meta's charges shown separately. Either way, there are no hidden charges.

Is there a minimum commitment?

It depends on the setup. Simple setups can run month to month. Larger builds with custom integrations usually have a short initial term so the setup work is covered. We'll be clear about it in the meeting.

Can we start small and grow?

Yes, and we recommend it. Many agencies start with enquiry handling and quote follow-up, then add balance reminders, e-docs and campaigns once the first part is working.

What happens to our cost in peak season?

Accepted Answer

Per-message costs rise with volume, and volume tiers bring the unit rate down. We model your seasonal pattern in the proposal, so Wave season or summer peaks are expected, not a surprise.
